Introducing the Southern Districts Neurodiverse Basketball Program
Southern Districts Basketball Association is excited to launch a new, inclusive program designed to welcome neurodiverse individuals and those with intellectual disabilities to participate fully in basketball.
The program will be designed to accommodate participantsβ needs, from club and representative competition to modified games and skill development opportunities. Additionally, training will be available to coaches, referees, and volunteers across the Association, fostering a comprehensive understanding of how to support neurodiverse athletes effectively.
We are committed to making Southern Districts a hub for neurodiverse athletes and their families, providing sustainable engagement through NDIS-aligned programming, inclusive social elements, and a pathway for those interested in coaching, refereeing, or leadership roles.
The program will launch with introductory small group sessions on November 23rdΒ and 30th, 2024. If you would like to sign up for these sessions, please registerΒ here. Program details are outlined via the registration link.
