Massive good luck to our 3 Spartans Mya, Violet & Ruby, who's teams are playing in the finals of the U15 Oceania Cup, down in Canberra!

Ruby & team Samoa take on New Caledonia today in the quarter-finals, and Mya, Violet and team Aus have advanced straight to the semi finals after a perfect 3-0 run in the pool rounds 💪🏻

Good luck Ladies! The whole Darkside is backing you all 😤

Southern Districts would like to welcome back our 2024 NWBL coaching group, for the upcoming 2025 National Wheelchair Basketball League season.

Tom Kyle, Nick Such and Thomas Kyle all return to lead the playing group.

2024 saw our team narrowly miss on out finals in SDBA's second stint back in the NWBL, last competing as the 'Brisbane Spartans' back in the late 90's.

Congratulations to our very own Ruby Ferris, who recently was named in the U15 Samoa Womens Team competing in the U15 FIBA Oceania Cup!

The 2024 FIBA U15 Oceania Cup will be held in Canberra, Australia, from November 11 to 16. This tournament marks the start of a new cycle in the FIBA Youth Championships, with the top two teams earning spots in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup, which serves as a qualifier for the FIBA U17 World Championships.
