Southern Districts Spartans is excited to announce our QSL & Youth League teams for the 2025 season!

We're excited to share that we are the first association to have both QSL1 & QSL2 teams, both Mens & Womens, as well as both Youth League 1 & Youth League 2 Mens & Womens teams!

Having 8 Senior Representative teams is a massive achievement, and we're super showcase just how much talent we have at the Darkside 💪🏻

Over the last week, a beloved member & mother of our Spartans family, Shelly Hanley, sadly passed away.

Shelly & her family are members of the BK Owls family & our Spartans representative family, and BK teams over the weekend have been wearing green during their games to show their support for the Hanley family.

At this weekends U16 & U14 representative games, we’re encouraging everyone to wear something green during their games - ribbons, tape, or anything green.

Our Darkside Family is sending all of our love & support to the Hanley family in this time 💚🤍

The Spartans Talent ID Camps are the first phase of our representative team selection process, designed to identify and develop emerging basketball talent. These camps provide athletes with an opportunity to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience, and receive expert coaching as they prepare for representative trials.

During the Talent ID phase, players will be assessed on their technical skills, athletic ability, and game awareness by our representative team selectors. From here:

A select group of athletes will be invited to join the Spartans 8-Week Training Program, an intensive development phase leading up to trials.
Athletes not selected for the 8-week program will be directed to small group workouts, focusing on key skill areas to help them continue improving before trials.
